Joevic Yeban was born in 1987 in San Jose, California. He demonstrated an interest in drawing at a young age, influenced by his father’s drawings and sketches. Throughout his teens, Yeban took many art classes offered at his high school and eventually decided to make art his career by enrolling in art school. In 2012, Yeban received his BFA from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, with a degree in fine arts.
Yeban paints primarily with oil, focusing on bay area cities as his subject matter. His paintings have been part of many group shows in the bay area and his work has been sought out by collectors throughout the country. In 2012, he was featured in Southwest Art Magazine’s, “emerging artist” issue. Yeban currently paints full time in his studio in Oakland, CA and teaches part time at The Academy of Art University.
